WOOSTER – Jeanne L. Defibaugh Morris, 79, of Wooster passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.

She was born December 17, 1938 in Wooster, the daughter of Thomas and Emma Bennett Meyer. She married John M. Morris on April 13, 1985.

She had worked at the Town and Country Restaurant in the dining room for 30 years, and for Bowman Beverage for 20 years. Jeanne enjoyed collecting Angels, fishing, camping and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Wooster Lodge #811 and the American Legion Post #68, in Wooster.

Surviving are her children, Pamela (Dave) Gagliardo, Bret (Deb) Defibaugh, Sherri (Don) Lupole, and Lisa (Jeff) Smith; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and a sister Patricia (Bob) Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Gary Defibaugh, whom she married on June 16, 1956; siblings Bernard, Francis, and Ralph Meyer, and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., in Wooster with Father Stephen Moran officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 6-8:00PM.

Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Jeanne was such a sweet, loving person and our grandchildren always looked forward to seeing her and spending time with her and John at the campground. Even though she was not feeling well herself, she insisted on watching out for me at the camper after my surgery. She will be greatly missed!

We were very saddened by the loss of your Mother.She was a sweet and very kind person. Always got a big hug from her whenever we saw each other. She will be sorely missed.Our prayers will continue for your entire family.May God bless you all.

Aunt Jean was a wonderful lady, an inspiration to anyone who met her. I love her with all my heart and she will be missed tremendously. My heart goes out to Brett, Sherry, Pam, John and all the family!
