WOOSTER - Ray C SPROSTY, 82, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 in Wooster Community Hospital.
He was born October 22, 1927 in Cleveland, OH, son of Ray C Sr. and Marie Izso Sprosty.
He was the President and CEO of Sprosty Bag Co. Ray was a member of Ebenezer Lodge #33 F&Am, the Al Koran Shrine, Wooster Shrine Club and the Wooster Elks Lodge. He served his country with the US Army during WWII.
Surviving are Nancy Sigler Sprosty of Wooster; Pamela Sprosty of Tappan, NY, Ray C "Chuck" (Toni) Sprosty of Wooster and Dale L Sprosty Jr. of CA; a grandson, Christopher Sprosty and a brother Dale Sprosty of Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Jennifer.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 5-8:00 P.M.
Services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Evelyn Manzella officiating. Interment will follow in the Wooster Cemetery.
