| Biography |
WOOSTER - Mildred F DYMOND, 87, of Wooster, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 in her home.
She was born November 18, 1922 in Sugar Creek Twp., Wayne Co., the daughter of Menno and Tamar Gerber Schumacher Geiger. She married Floyd R. Dymond in 1954. He died in 1975.
She was a graduate of Dalton High School in 1942 and was a resident of the Wooster area all her life. She had attended Goshen College for 2 years. Mildred retired in 1987 from the Press Dept. at International Paper after 35 1/2 years. She was a member of the First Church of God and a member of the women's sewing circle. She was a die hard Cleveland Indians fan.
Surviving are daughters, Doris (Bill) Stillwagner of Myakka City, FL and Diane Sue (James) Barkley of Orrville; and step-sons, Floyd Dymond Jr. of MD, Frank & Joe Dymond of PA, step-daughters, Florence Lucky of AZ, Betty Wiloski and Shirley Staffer of PA, Mary Lou Serafin of Washington, DC and Sandy; 4 grandsons and 12 great-grandchildren and a half-sister, Shirley Geiger of Dalton.
Mildred was preceded in death by parents, step-father Adam Geiger, brothers, Don and Urie Schumacher and a half-brother, Robert Geiger, step-children John, George and Evelyn.
Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the 1:30 P.M. service at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Saturday, June 26, 2010 with the Rev. Kenneth Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Kidron Mennonite Cemetery.
