| Biography |
William Gaylord Tarpley, 61, of Wooster, died Saturday July 24, 2010 at his home.
He was born March 7, 1949 in Wooster, son of the late William Junior and Mazie (Strickland) Tarpley.
William was a Manager for Sears & Roebuck Company and served on a board at the Community Center for senior citizens and belonged to the Sons of the American Legion.
He is survived by daughters, Delphine Tarpley and Gayleen Tarpley both of Wooster; grandchildren, Damon, Davion and Donovan; sister, Cassandra Wilson of Akron and brother, Brian Tarpley of Wadsworth.
Services will be held on Friday July 30 at 1:00 PM at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be directed to either to the funeral home to defray expenses or to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
